Principal
Hello! My name is Susan Bumann-Riehl and I feel blessed to be the principal of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic School. I’m from Louisville, Kentucky and live there with my two sons, Alec and Aidan, who attend St. Leonard Catholic School. I graduated from University of Louisville with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1997. I returned to U of L and received a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology in 2005. A year later I began working on my M.Ed. in School Administration and will receive my degree in December of 2010. I have 17 years of education experience serving in both the private and public sector. I’ve taught Pre-School through Grade Eight as a computer or classroom teacher.
I am a product of Catholic Education and believe strongly the decision to enroll your child at SMKCS is the best decision you will ever make as a parent. God purposefully created each child unique and I am committed to preserving their individuality while serving their spiritual, emotional, and educational needs. Your children are at the center of my every decision, and helping to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ is my daily focus.
